An IP phone is a type of phone that uses Internet Protocol (IP) to transmit calls, often connecting directly to a network via Ethernet. A VoIP phone, which stands for Voice over Internet Protocol phone, also transmits calls over the internet but can be any device, including software applications, that uses VoIP technology. Essentially, all IP phones are VoIP phones, but not all VoIP phones are IP phones.
